The Rosario Municipal Police Station and Special Intelligence Task Group (SITG) filed this week criminal charges for seven counts of murder and frustrated murder against the suspects who shot dead seven people and the wounding of another, all supporters of Rosario Mayor Jose "Nonong" Ricafrente and Vice Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente on the eve of the May 9 elections in a village here.

In a report on Tuesday, the Rosario police said they are filing criminal complaints against the identified suspects in violation of Article (Murder) of the country&#;s Revised Penal Code.

Thorough investigation of the Rosario Municipal Police Station and SITG identified the suspects as Jose Arvin Prodigalidad Guhit; Fernando Aseo Jimenez; Reynan Ledesma Abutan; and several John Does under docket no.

Rosario police investigators gathered witnesses and evidence pertaining to the shooting incident and confirmed the convoy of six vehicles as captured by the CCTV footages in Barangays Kanluran, Wawa II, Wawa III, Silangan I in Rosario, Cavite.

According to the police, the convoy vehicles used by the assailants were Nissan Bluebird with car plate PTN ; Toyota Land Cruiser; white Mitsubishi Pajero with plate WHN ; Toyota RAV4; White Ford Ranger Pick-up truck with plate AAI and Chevrolet OPTRA with plate ZBG

Investigators also gathered statements from Fatak Macabago Mampon, the lone survivor of the shooting incident.

Mampon narrated that on the eve of May 09, around 12 midnight, he and his companions were on board the Kawasaki Fury vehicle following the Mitsubishi Adventure while approaching DP Jimenez St., Karla Ville Subdivision, Barangay Wawa III in Rosario, Cavite.

He continued that while traversing the road, another vehicle driven by still unidentified driver blocked their way and unknown persons ordered them to alight from Mitsubishi Adventure and lay down.

From that position, Mampon and his companions were indiscriminately shot without apparent reason.

Investigations also disclosed that the assailants used three kinds of firearms such as 9mm, cal and M16 rifle causing instantaneous deaths to Mampon&#;s company.

Mampon sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to Divine Grace Hospital in General Trias, Cavite for medical treatment and survived.

Police identified the seven fatalities as Arniel Shieklokus Sharief; Farhan Garnde Datu Imam; Ramon Darantino Tuazon; Naim Shiekadatu Hadjiomar; Omair Saro Imam; Ibrahim Macarambon Imam; Pabil Mangandia Sultan.
